The new season of the anime TV series won't premiere until the following
year, but the film will be available for viewing in North America on
The movie, which was made by Mappa Studios and Toho Animation, is based
on the manga series by Gege Akutami and centres on the cursed young high
school student Yuta Okkotsu. Yuta struggles with his sadness and loneliness
after the passing of his friend Rika Orimoto and is visited by her ghost. In
order to control Rika, whose presence frequently rescues him or places him
in danger, his journey leads him to sorcery.
