Aranyak, a movie starring Raveena Tendon, was made available on Netflix's OTT streaming service in December 2021.
The show, which was filmed in the fictional Himachal Pradesh town of Sironah
featured two morally upright police officers as they struggled with personal issues
while looking for the person responsible for the alleged rape and murder of a teenage girl.
After its debut, Aranyak earned overwhelmingly favourable reviews from both the public and reviewers.
Bollywood Hungama has since learned that Aranyak's second season has been cancelled by Netflix India.
If what we've heard is accurate, Netflix's decision to axe Aranyak season 2 due to its ROI is being considered.
According to a knowledgeable source, "OTT platforms have tightened their requirements for the content they feature, and Netflix is no exception to this."
