Kris Kobach leaves the board of We Build the Wall after the organisation is charged with money laundering.

Kris Kobach, a former Kansas secretary of state and current Republican candidate for attorney general,

resigned from the We Build the Wall board of directors on Friday after the group was charged with

money laundering, conspiracy, and fraud. On Thursday, New York state prosecutors unveiled an

indictment against former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, charging him with defrauding contributors to

We Build the Wall, a campaign that solicited money to build sections of border wall with private funding. 

The same offences were charged and indicted against We

Build the Wall as well. We Build the Wall and Bannon have each entered a not guilty plea

 Kobach was put in a potentially dangerous political situation by the
