Hyderabad's 12-kg Ganesh Laddu Auction For Record ₹ 45 Lakh
In an auction held on Saturday, a laddoo prasad (holy offering) at a Ganesh pandal in Hyderabad brought in a record-breaking amount of 45 lakh rupees
The 12-kg laddoo sold for nearly twice as much at auction as the well-known Balapur Ganesh laddoo, which sold for 24.60 lakh yesterday
The Marakatha Shree Lakshmi Ganapati Utsav Pandal laddoo was sold at auction for 44,99,999, making it the highest price paid for a laddoo
throughout both Telugu States, not just in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh)
Laddoos created for Lord Ganesh are traditionally auctioned off as prasad,
and whoever wins is said to receive "God's particular blessing."
Laddoo is believed by the people to bring luck, good health, wealth, and prosperity.
The legendary Balapur Ganesh laddoo, which sold for 24.60 lakh a day ago, was almost two times as expensive as the 12-kg laddoo that was auctioned off.
