Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry dies in accident

According to a senior police officer, Cyrus Mistry, the former chairman of Tata Sons, was killed in a car crash on Sunday in the Palghar region of Maharashtra, which is close to Mumbai. His car collided with a divider.

He was 54. Cyrus Mistry's death at such a young age is "very terrible," says N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons.

The late Mistry's loss was also mourned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Mumbai police official claimed that Mistry was driving a Mercedes from Ahmedabad to Mumbai.

Around 3.15 pm, Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when the accident happened.

The Surya river bridge was the site of the disaster.

Balasaheb Patil, district superintendent of police for Palghar, claimed that it appeared to be an accident.

He was travelling with two other people, including the car's driver, who also sustained injuries

The Kasa Rural Hospital will do a postmortem on Mistry's body.
