Delhi Kidney racket: 11, including 2 doctors, named in 6,000 page chargesheet

Eleven people, including two physicians, were charged by the Delhi Police for allegedly operating a kidney transplant scam in South Delhi

 Police discovered the gang targeted homeless and underprivileged children around gurdwaras and hospitals

and the suspects were captured in June after repeated raids in Delhi and Haryana.

6,000 pages or so make up the chargesheet, according to sources at the Hauz Khas police station.

Before making any arrests, a police team under the direction of inspectors Bharat Lal and Rohit had been working on the case for weeks

 The chargesheet claims that the defendants allegedly carried out 14 to 16 transplants in the previous six months

 Sonu Rohilla, another defendant, does not have a medical degree but owns a clinic in Gohana, Haryana,

where the illegal transplantation was carried out.
