As the Ukrainians advance, Russia sends forces to Kharkiv.
In an effort to stop a Ukrainian advance that has brought Kyiv's soldiers to the outskirts of two
significant cities in the area, Russia is bolstering beleaguered military units in Kharkiv.
Since the beginning of this week, Ukrainian forces have advanced more than 50 kilometres (31 miles)
into Russian-held territory. They have already arrived on the western outskirts of Kupiansk
and have also launched an attack southward towards Izium.
The fast advance has created the appearance of a coming conflict over the two critical locations that
valued highly by both sides. Russian soldiers are currently being resupplied by rail through Kupiansk,
